Children’s Mental Health Week 5-11th February 2024

The theme for children’s mental health week this year was ‘My Voice Matters’. The children learnt about young people from around the world who have used their voice to make a positive change. They also completed different activities where they spent time thinking about their likes and dislikes and finding their voice before sharing with the class. Ellise Owen also came in to school to talk about finding your voice when you need it. She taught the children some calming down strategies to use when the children needed to find their brave voice. The children enjoyed the tapping activity where they tapped different parts of their face to calm them down while repeating a positive phrase.
